An advanced design unit, built around an idea that is finally buildable.
We are a small team with a particular conviction: the most important unsolved problem in software is the one we have stopped noticing. Every user, in every product, has to learn the interface. Adaptive AI ends that. We exist to help good teams build the first generation of products that practise this principle.
Twenty-five years of practice, brought to a single thesis.
The members of our unit have spent more than 25 years collectively designing software, building AI systems, leading engineering teams, and shipping products to millions of users across India and abroad. We have led design at consumer apps, architected platforms for enterprises, published research, and run our own products.
We are not a generalist agency. We are a focused design unit. We take on a small number of projects per year, work directly with founders and product leaders, and stay close enough to the code to ship. We are passionate about this work in the original sense of the word — we cannot stop thinking about it — and we would be happy to expand the practice if it helps more businesses build the next generation of products.
What you can expect from us
Senior people, on your project
No pyramid staffing. The people who scope the work do the work.
Sharp scopes, fast pilots
We define a four-to-twelve-week first cut before discussing larger commitments.
Honest counsel
We will tell you if you do not need us, or if the project is not ready. We have done so before.
Quiet ownership
Your IP is yours. Your data is yours. Our name does not need to be on it.
What "advanced design unit" means in practice.
We sit between four disciplines that the industry usually keeps separated. The combination is the point.
Design
Interaction, information architecture, visual language — with the discipline that comes from doing it for two decades.
AI engineering
Frontier-model prompt design, retrieval, evaluation, and the discipline of keeping inference cost and latency in check.
Software engineering
Production-grade frontend and backend. Typed contracts. CI/CD. Observability. The unsexy work that makes adaptive systems trustworthy.
Product strategy
Where to point all of the above. Most adaptive projects fail at scoping, not at execution. We start there.
If this resonates, we would be happy to have a conversation.
We work with founders, product leaders, and design heads. The first meeting is exploratory, free of obligation, and usually quite short.
